We illustrated Jesus’s parable of the two house builders by making houses from sticky mosaic tiles.

You will need:

• Background pictures of rock and sand
• Square foam stickers
• Coloured pens, pencils or crayons (optional)

My original idea was that the children would stick squares to make a picture of a house. We quickly found that most of them were not really up to this, so we drew outlines of houses for them to fill in with stickers as haphazardly as they liked. The house on the sand was supposed to be crooked, so that helped…

The children finished off their pictures by scribbling stormy seas and sky around the houses.
